Making Art Together Lessons 10-18, Wendi Coats

There were alot of lessons in this section that I would be interested in trying out in a classroom, lessons 12, 14, 16 & 18.

Lesson 12:  Designing a Wall Hanging - I have some experience stitching, so it appealed to me to share that with my students and also demonstrate that stitching isn't just samplers/clothes.  It would give an opportunity to share historical uses for banners/wall hangings.

Lesson 14:  Redesigning the Classroom - I thought this would be a great idea to let the class redesign their bedroom/room in their home.  Maybe use 1pt perspective and show them how to use interior design templates.

Lesson 16:  Puppet Show - This just sounded so fun, even with high schoolers.  I did like the idea of making it a show for the community and a fundraiser.  There are SO many options!!

Lesson 18:  Performance Art - This one just reminded me of the Wayne's World sketch from the movie, http://youtu.be/MQEwJdhfddk !!  I think kids would love the randomness of acting in front of pictures!!
